Voor het eerst heeft een kerkelijke vertegenwoordiger gereageerd op "De Da Vinci code" van Dan Brown. Kardinaal Tarcisio Bertone, aartsbisschop van Genua, zegt dat het boek vol "beschamende en ongefundeerde leugens" staat.
In de roman "De Da Vinci code", wereldwijd een gigantische bestseller, staat dat Jezus getrouwd was met Maria Magdalena en dat ze samen een kind hadden.
In het werk van Leonardo Da Vinci zouden codes zitten die daarop wijzen, maar de Kerk wil dat geheim wegmoffelen.
"Het verbaast en verontrust mij dat zoveel mensen deze leugens geloven", zegt kardinaal Bertone. Woensdag zal hij een seminarie geven waarin hij alle aantijgingen uit het boek wil weerleggen. ( Bron VRTnieuws )

Well we're already into 2006 and I wish you all the best. I'm doing a lot of original work on Leonardo, including looking in detail at the technical drawings of machines and human anatomy. We're also publishing a detailed analysis of the Last Supper and Annunciation, which should be quite interesting.
